About

Hi, I'm Jaydon. I teach the how, not just the what.

I'm Jaydon Ward, a tutor with a Master's in Education and nearly ten years of teaching experience, primarily in the independent school setting. I've taught middle and high school in New York City independent schools and in international IB programs. I work with students in grades K–12 on executive function and homework organization, tutoring, test prep, and enrichment — and I tutor college students in computer science.

My focus is STEM. I teach a variety of programming languages, robotics, AI, science, and math — from a student's first project through college-level coursework — and I like to teach them through building and pattern rather than memorizing.

I don't have a favorite grade — every age has something to love. What I do love is the time spent one-on-one or in a small group, where teaching can be truly individualized. That's when a student asks the question they were quietly holding on to, and someone actually has the time to sit with it. Those are the moments things click.

My goal is simple: help each student become a confident, self-directed learner who knows how to plan, think, and follow their curiosity.
